The Edgemoor Inn

Tuesday lunch The Edgemoor Inn - table booked for 3 at 1:20pm

The views from this restaurant are outstanding
even on a grey wet day like today. It was very quiet today and half way through our meal we had the place to ourselves.
I ate grilled salmon with prawns and boursin sauce, with new potatoes, I drank sparkling mineral water and finished with a coffee. I had no complaints at all, salmon was cooked to perfection, sauce was garlic-y and cheese-y the cauliflower, brocoli and spring greens were cooked to my liking a still remained a good bite.
The rest of my party has a sirloin steak cooked medium rare - this was quite fatty and a little to rare for his taste. Scampi looked over cooked to my eye but she said it was nice...chips were ok...again I thought they looked a little dry, maybe I'm just too fussy!

Desserts - mississippi pie, lemon meringue frozen pie and bread and butter pudding with custard, all plates were empty at the end so I take it all was well!
